Specificity:
Rabbit Anti-Human Caspase Recruitment Domain Family Member 9 (CARD9) recognizes Human CARD9. This polyclonal antibody was purified using affinity chromatography.
Background:
Apoptosis is related to many diseases and development. Cell death signals are transduced by death domain (DD), death effector domain (DED), and caspase recruitment domain (CARD) containing molecules. CARD containing proteins include some caspases, Apaf-1, CARD4, IAPs, RICK, ARC, RAIDD, BCL-10, and ASC. A novel CARD-containing protein was recently identified and designated CARD9, which interacts with the CARD activation domain of BCL-10.1 CARD9 associates with BCL-10 and forms a complex within cells. CARD9 induces apoptosis and activates NF-κB. CARD9 is an upstream activator of BCL-10 and NF-κB signaling.

Formulation
This polyclonal antibody is formulated in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.4 containing 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative.
Storage and Stability
This polyclonal antibody is stable for at least one week when stored at 2-8°C. For long term storage, aliquot in working volumes without diluting and store at –20°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.

Western Blotting: This antibody can be used to detect Human CARD9 by Western blot analysis at a concentration of 0.5 - 1.0 µg/ml when used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, such as Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H&L)-Horseradish Peroxidase (Leinco Prod. No.: R1190), under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. The positive controls for Western blotting are PN:P179 or PN:M1124.
