Description
Specificity:
Anti-Human Kappa is specific for kappa light chains of human immunoglobulins. This antibody also recognizes free kappa light chains and Bence-Jones kappa light chains. It is not reactive with lambda light chains. This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype.

Antigen Distribution:
Approximately 50% of normal human B-lymphocytes express kappa light chains. B-cell leukemias may express either kappa or lambda light chains.

Reporter Molecule:
R-phycoerythrin (R-PE) has a molecular weight of 240 kDa and is purified from red algae. R-PE is an intensely bright phycobiliprotein with an absorption maxima at approximately 496, 546 and 565 nm, and a fluorescence emission maximum of ~578 nm.

Formulation
This R-phycoerythrin (R-PE) conjugate is formulated in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.4, 1% BSA and 0.09% sodium azide as a preservative.
Storage and Stability
This R-PE conjugate is stable when stored at 2-8°C. Do not freeze.

FC: This antibody can be used at a concentration of ≤ 1 µg per 100 µl of whole blood (or per 1.0 x 106 cells in a 100 µl total staining volume).
