Description
Specificity:
Anti-Human IgM (µ chain specific) monoclonal antibody reacts with human IgM through an epitope on the heavy chain. This antibody is non-reactive with IgG, IgA or light chains. Clone HB57 produces an antibody with one of the highest affinities available (Ka = 5.34 x 108 M-1).1

Antigen Distribution:
Surface IgM is expressed on B-lymphocytes.

Formulation
This biotinylated antibody is formulated in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.4, 1% BSA and 0.09% sodium azide as a preservative.
Storage and Stability
This biotinylated antibody is stable when stored at 2-8°C. Do not freeze.
Reported Applications
ELISA Det, IHC (Frozen), FC
Flow Cytometry: It is recommended to use the indirect method for signal enhancement when enumerating cells expressing IgM. A suggested method would be to stain cells expressing IgM with Anti-Human IgM µ-Chain Specific at ≤0.1 µg per 1.0 X 106 cells in a 100 µl total staining volume, followed by UltraAvidin™- R-phycoerythrin (R-PE) (Leinco Prod. No.: A104).
