Polyclonal rabbit anti-zebrafish vitellogenin

Contents:
This product consists of Protein-G affinity-purified polyclonal rabbit antibodies against vitellogenin from zebrafish (Danio rerio). The antibodies are dissolved in 0.1M Na-phosphate, 0.15M NaCl, 1% BSA, 0.1% Na-azide, pH 7.4.

Immunogen source:
Vitellogenin purified from plasma of 17ß-estradiol treated zebrafish.

Specificity:
DR-264 binds with high affinity to vitellogenin in plasma samples from zebrafish. The antibody crossreacts well with vitellogenin from common carp (Cyprinus carpio) and fathead minnow (Pimephales promelas). The degree of cross-reactivity differ between species and with the different methods employed.

Applications:
DR-264 is well suited for ELISA and immunoblotting for several cyprinid species. Since assay conditions vary, the optimum dilution should be determined for each particular application. Note: The antibody is dissolved in a buffer containing BSA, and is therefore not recommended to use for coating.

Normal dilution range:
ELISA: 1:100 - 1: 2000
Western blot: 1:100 - 1:500
