Vitellogenin purified from plasma of 17ß-estradiol treated Atlantic cod.

Specificity:
CS-1 binds with high affinity to vitellogenin in plasma samples from Atlantic cod. The antibody cross-reacts well with vitellogenin from turbot (Scopthalmus maximus), rainbow trout (Onchorhyncus mykiss), common carp (Cyprinus carpio) and tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). The degree of cross-reactivity differ between species and with the different methods employed.

Applications:
CS-1 is well suited for ELISA and immunoblotting for a number of species. Since assay conditions vary, the optimum dilution should be determined for each particular application. Note: The antibody is dissolved in a buffer containing BSA, and is therefore not recommended to use for coating.
